Logic Pro on Android: what actually works

Published August 2026

The straight answer: Apple makes no Android version of Logic Pro. Not in the Play Store, not as an APK, not ever so far. And this needs saying plainly: every "Logic Pro APK" download is a scam or malware — Apple has never distributed Logic outside its own platforms. Don't install one.

What you can actually do on Android

Open the project in Chrome. Upload the zipped .logicx at doseedo.com and it opens as a playable session — tracks with their names and colors, the arrangement, MIDI you can look into, the tempo map. Listen, solo and mute, check the take, make an edit. Free account, no app, works on any Android phone or tablet.

Open your Logic project on Android

Upload the zipped .logicx in Chrome — it opens as a playable session. Free account, no app, no APK.

Getting the file onto the phone is the usual dance: Drive, Dropbox, email-to-self — the zip lands in Files and uploads from the picker. If a collaborator sent you the project, upload the zip exactly as it arrived.

If you produce on Android and got sent a Logic project

Android's real DAWs (FL Studio Mobile, Caustic, BandLab and friends) can't read a .logicx — no Android app can. If the collaboration is ongoing and you work on a desktop DAW too, convert the project once: it comes back as a native Ableton, FL Studio or REAPER session for your computer, while the browser link covers the on-phone listening.

The share direction

Flip it around: if you're the Logic user and the other person is on Android, don't send them the project at all — open it once and send the link. It plays in their browser with no account and no install. Details in sharing a Logic Pro project.

FAQ

Is there a Logic Pro app for Android?

No. Apple ships Logic Pro for macOS and iPad only. There is no Android version and no legitimate APK — sites offering a “Logic Pro APK” are distributing malware.

How do I open a Logic project on an Android phone or tablet?

In Chrome: upload the zipped .logicx and it opens as a playable session — tracks, arrangement, MIDI, tempo map. Free account, no app.

Can any Android DAW open a .logicx?

No — FL Studio Mobile, BandLab, Caustic and the rest all use their own formats. The browser session is the way to hear a Logic project on Android; conversion to Ableton, FL Studio or REAPER covers desktop editing.

What's the best Logic Pro alternative on Android?

For making music on Android: FL Studio Mobile and BandLab are the serious options. But if the goal is your existing Logic projects, alternatives don't open them — the browser route does.

Can I send a Logic project to someone on Android?

Send a link, not a file: open the project once and share the link — it plays in their Android browser with no account and no install.
