Big Buck Bunny, scored by an AI agent
Published October 2026
This is the opening 70 seconds of Big Buck Bunny with a new orchestral score. An AI agent wrote every note: Claude, connected to the public Doseedo MCP server. Doseedo spotted the cut, played the 22 parts, mixed them and laid the music on the picture. No person touched the audio, and no DAW was opened. Below are the calls in order, what each took and cost, the receipts, and what they caught.

What the agent wrote
A pastorale in D major, in 3/4: a morning that wakes up a little at a time, and then wakes up a big, soft, slightly ridiculous rabbit. The Morning theme rises a fourth like a sunrise. It is heard three times: as the flute's dawn call, from the full horns, trumpet and violins on the title card, and on the oboe when the bunny smiles. The bird gets a scherzando for flute, pizzicato and woodblock. The bunny is low and comic: bassoon snores, a horn yawn, and a ratchet for his back cracking.
| Time | Picture | Music |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | Fade up on a pink dawn sky | A very soft timpani roll on D, and a D–A pedal in the low strings |
| 0:04.8 | The camera tilts down to the meadow | The flute's dawn call, the head of the Morning theme |
| 0:11.9 | Cut to the brook | Rippling harp and clarinet in G, with the flute floating above |
| 0:15.8 | Cut to the bird on its branch | Flute chirps, pizzicato and staccato bassoon |
| 0:19.8 | The bird is startled and tumbles off | A woodblock, a chromatic fall from flute to clarinet, and a thud |
| 0:25.4 | The title, "Big Buck Bunny" | The Morning theme for the whole orchestra |
| 0:34.7 | The bunny asleep in his burrow | B minor, very soft: bassoon snores and a whistled flute |
| 0:46.6 | His ears pop up | A harp glissando, pizzicato, woodblock and timpani |
| 0:51.5 | A big yawn | The horn yawns down over an A7 chord |
| 1:00.7 | Close-up: a contented smile | The theme on the oboe, with a halo of violins above |
| 1:09.4 | Cut to the wide meadow, arms out | The whole orchestra arrives on D major |
doseedo_tempo_map put every structural hit on a downbeat, easing the tempo between 69 and 93 bpm with a timing error of 0.018 ms. Two cuts that could not share the grid were written where they fall.
The receipts, part by part
Every part came back with a fit receipt from the render (the share of its written notes that were heard), and the agent checked every stem again with doseedo_check_take, which transcribes the audio and compares it with the notes.

- Why some parts say "check". The second check transcribes the stem, and the transcriber cannot follow harp glissandi, timpani rolls, repeated bow strokes on one pitch or very soft pizzicato. The agent looked at the flagged notes in the spectrum, and the expected harmonics were there: the tuba's D2, for example, shows its partial at 147 Hz.
- What a pass missed. The cymbal and bass drum part passed both checks, yet its soft swells started at full scale and it added hits after the title crash. A re-take with
doseedo_render_midi(three takes, 30 credits) gave a clean one. The mix in the video above uses the stem as first rendered, because swapping a re-take into a finished mix kept the old stem's level and sank the new one by 13 dB. That is now on the list of things to fix. - Timing. On attacks you can measure, notes land within about 25 ms of the grid: the pizzicato 6 ms late, the woodblock between 10 ms early and on time, the flute 6 to 12 ms late.
What this run changed in the product
Running a real film through the public server is how the gaps show up. This one found two, both fixed and live on October 29:
- A whole film's cue sheet now arrives whole. Spotting all ten minutes of the film returned only 3 of its 13 cues, because the answer was cut to fit. Now every cue comes back, and the long lists are counted and one call away.
- A delivery that lands under its loudness target says why. The cue came out at −16.6 LUFS against a −16 target, because an orchestral cue's peaks reach the ceiling first and delivery never limits. The report now gives the shortfall and the reason.

Who wrote the music?
An AI agent, Claude, connected to the public Doseedo MCP server. It spotted the picture, chose the hit points, and wrote all 22 parts as notes. Doseedo played the parts on its instrument models, mixed them and laid the mix on the picture.
What did it cost?
120 credits for the render of 22 parts over 70 seconds. Spotting, the tempo map, the checks, the mix, the delivery to picture and the Logic project cost no credits.
How long did it take?
The render took about four minutes from submit to result. Spotting took 14 seconds, the mix 42 seconds, and laying the mix on the picture 23 seconds.
Can I use Big Buck Bunny for my own tests?
Yes. Big Buck Bunny is © 2008 Blender Foundation and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, so you can use it with credit to the Blender Foundation.
Was anything fixed by hand?
No. The audio in the video comes only from Doseedo tool calls: the render, the mix and the delivery. The one part that a re-take improved is used as first rendered, and this page says why.
