Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky died in 1893, so the composition is in the public domain in the US and in the countries that protect a work for its author’s life plus 70 years. The edition this recording plays (PDMX) is released under CC0, so the notes carry no conditions either. Open it in Score Studio to time it to your video: the render you make there is yours to use, in an ad too (Terms §6.3).

About the piece
Tchaikovsky wrote the Sugar Plum Fairy’s dance for the second act of The Nutcracker, first staged at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in December 1892. Its melody is played on the celesta, a keyboard of struck metal plates Tchaikovsky had heard in Paris and kept secret until the premiere.
Quiet, glassy and a little mischievous, it is the sound of snow globes, toy shops and late-night wrapping: the most licensed few bars of the Christmas season.
Sounds delicate, sparkling, playful · Cuts well to gift guides, toy and beauty reveals, snowy product shots
