Suno to MIDI
Published October 2026
Suno gives you audio. To play its song on your own instruments, rearrange a part or print a chart, you need the notes. Most audio-to-MIDI converters take one recording at a time and return a .mid at a fixed tempo. Upload the Suno song to Doseedo and the whole arrangement comes back as MIDI tracks, one per part, with each horn section split into its players, a chord track, and the song's tempo map, inside a Logic or Ableton project next to the audio each part came from.
The MIDI from one 16-second Suno clip
From the same Suno big-band clip as the Logic and Ableton guides, the MIDI that came back on 29 October 2026, 713 notes in all:
Piano MIDI 89 notes
Bass MIDI 56 notes
Drums MIDI 40 notes kick and snare, on General MIDI pitches
Sax 1–4 MIDI 126 · 61 · 26 · 17
Trombone 1–5 MIDI 89 · 33 · 17 · 13 · 7
Trumpet 1–3 MIDI 73 · 16 · 4
Chords (guide) 46 notes the detected changes, voiced as chords
The horn tracks are the part most tools cannot give you. A section playing in harmony is one audio stem to a separator, and a transcriber hears a stack of notes, so the usual result is one MIDI track of chords. Here each section is split into single lines first, and each line is transcribed on its own: the lead trumpet's 73 notes, the second's 16, and so on, on separate tracks you can give to separate instruments. Each section's MIDI tracks are grouped under one bus.
How to do it
- Download the song from Suno as a WAV (an MP3 works too; a WAV keeps more detail for the separator).
- Open audio to session and upload it.
- Pick the DAW, Logic Pro or Ableton Live, and which parts you want as MIDI as well as audio.
- Download the project when it is built, unpack it, and open it.
The MIDI arrives inside the project. To use it somewhere else, export it as a .mid: in Logic, select the regions and choose File › Export › Selection as MIDI File; in Live, right-click a clip and choose Export MIDI Clip.
Reading the MIDI honestly
A transcription is a reading of a performance, not the score it came from. The notes are where the instruments played them, so they keep the swing and the push of the original rather than sitting exactly on the grid. A part buried deep in the mix transcribes less completely than one on top. The third trumpet's four notes above are a quiet chair, not a silent one. Compare a MIDI track against its audio track, which sits beside it in the same project, before you rely on it.
Suno Studio can also turn a stem into MIDI inside its own editor. That works one stem at a time and stays in Suno's browser editor. Doseedo does every part in one pass, splits the sections into players, and delivers the result in your DAW.
One stem only?
To transcribe a single stem to a .mid file, use transcribe. To get MIDI from any recording, not only Suno, the audio to MIDI page covers it.
Work only with audio you have the rights to. Separating a commercial release to remix it is fine for practice and private study, but releasing that remix needs the rights holder's licence, whatever tool made the stems.

Can you convert a Suno song to MIDI?
Yes. Upload the Suno file to Doseedo’s audio to session: the song is separated, each part is transcribed to its own MIDI track, and the result arrives in a Logic Pro or Ableton Live project with the audio.
Does Suno export MIDI?
Suno Studio can turn a stem into MIDI inside its editor, one stem at a time. Doseedo transcribes every part of the song in one pass and delivers the MIDI in a DAW project.
Can it separate a horn section into individual MIDI parts?
Yes. Saxes, trombones and trumpets are each split into single-line chairs before transcription, so every player gets a MIDI track of their own.
Is the MIDI on the right tempo?
It sits on a tempo map measured from the song, so the bars line up with the music even where the tempo moves.
How much does it cost?
20 credits per song for the separation and transcription; building the project is free. A free account has 120 credits a month.
