How to convert Logic Pro to FL Studio

Logic Pro runs only on macOS; FL Studio runs everywhere. That alone sends projects across this boundary constantly — a collaborator on Windows, a producer switching camps — and neither DAW reads the other's format. Doseedo converts a zipped .logicx into a native .flp online.

How to upload a Logic project

A .logicx is a macOS package (a folder disguised as a file), so browsers can't upload it directly. Right-click the project in Finder, choose Compress, and upload the resulting zip. Doseedo finds the project data and audio inside.

What the conversion does

Logic's regions become FL playlist items: MIDI regions arrive as patterns placed at the same bars, audio regions as audio clips with the files copied into an Audio folder beside the .flp. Track names, volume, pan, mute, tempo, time signature and markers carry across; each Logic track gets a playlist lane and mixer insert in FL.

What carries over — and what doesn't

FL Studio conversion is the newest direction in Doseedo's converter, and the copy here is deliberately honest. What arrives editable: tempo and time signature, the playlist arrangement (every pattern becomes a clip at its real position — not a pile of unplaced patterns), MIDI notes with velocities, audio clips placed where they were with the samples bundled alongside, markers, and per-channel volume, pan and mute with one mixer lane per source track.

What doesn't carry yet: plugin and instrument state (tracks arrive named and placed, instruments empty), automation curves, sends, and audio warping/stretch (clips place at their natural length). If your project leans on those, expect to rebuild them in the destination — the arrangement, notes and audio will be waiting.

Can you convert a Logic Pro project to FL Studio?

Yes. Zip the .logicx package (right-click → Compress in Finder), upload the zip, and download a native FL Studio project — regions arrive as placed patterns and audio clips with the samples bundled.

Can FL Studio open Logic projects?

No. FL Studio can’t read .logicx packages, and Logic has no FL export. Converting the project format natively is the only way to keep the arrangement editable.

Does this work for opening Logic projects on Windows?

Yes — that’s a main use. Logic only runs on macOS, but the converted .flp opens in FL Studio on Windows with the arrangement, MIDI and audio intact.

Do Logic plugins carry over to FL Studio?

Not yet. Tracks arrive named and placed with their MIDI and audio; instrument and effect state, automation and sends need rebuilding in FL.
