Open the converter →A .dawproject is the open project-interchange file Bitwig and PreSonus created: one file carrying a whole session — tracks, clips, notes, audio, mixer and plugin states. Bitwig Studio, Studio One and Cubase open one directly. Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio and Pro Tools don’t — for those, convert it to the DAW’s native format.
DAWs that open a .dawproject directly
Bitwig Studio 5 and later, Studio One 6.5 and later (now Fender Studio Pro), and Cubase 14 and later import it natively — so do a few others on the official support list. In those apps, import the file and the session comes back as tracks you can edit; plugins reload with their saved state where they’re installed.
Opening one in Logic, Ableton, FL Studio or Pro Tools
None of the four reads DAWproject. Convert it: upload the .dawproject to Doseedo and download a native Logic .logicx, Ableton .als, FL Studio .flp, Pro Tools session or REAPER .rpp. Any .dawproject converts the same way, whoever wrote it — Bitwig, Studio One or Cubase — and the report names the app that exported it.
Convert it on your own machine (keeps it editable, nothing leaves the computer): Dø Desktop runs the same conversion locally on macOS or Windows 10/11, so the project is never uploaded — and there is no monthly count. $39.99 once. Use the browser route above for a one-off; use this when the project is a client’s, or too big to send.
What carries over — and what doesn't
What arrives editable: tracks and group tracks with their names, levels, pans and mutes, clips with every note, audio with its files (they travel inside the .dawproject), tempo and time signature, and markers; going to Logic, Ableton or Pro Tools, sends arrive too and the format’s built-in EQ, compressor, gate and limiter map to the DAW’s own devices. Third-party plugins come across with their saved state where they’re installed — effects and instruments into Ableton and FL Studio, effects into Logic and Pro Tools.
Bitwig’s own instruments and devices, CLAP plugins and clip gain don’t come across, and automation isn’t promised yet — the conversion report names each one. Nothing is silently dropped.
Need a .dawproject from your DAW?
A Logic, Ableton, FL Studio or Pro Tools project converts the other way too — into a .dawproject that Bitwig Studio or Studio One imports.

FAQ
What opens a .dawproject file?
Bitwig Studio 5+, Studio One / Fender Studio Pro 6.5+ and Cubase 14+ import it natively. Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio and Pro Tools don’t — convert it to their native format instead.
Can Ableton or Logic open a .dawproject?
No. Neither reads DAWproject. Doseedo converts the .dawproject into a native .als or .logicx with the tracks, clips, notes, audio and mixer in place.
Does it matter which app exported the .dawproject?
No — the format is the contract. Exports from Bitwig, Studio One and Cubase convert the same way, and the conversion report names the app that wrote the file.
Is converting a .dawproject free?
3 conversions a month are free with no account; a free account gets 120 credits a month (a conversion is 1 credit).
