Converter v2: FL Studio, REAPER and Pro Tools
We started with Logic and Ableton. In August we added the other three: FL Studio on the 9th, REAPER on the 15th and Pro Tools on the 23rd.
Any DAW to any DAW
Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, REAPER and Pro Tools all convert to each other, both ways. That's 20 directions. Same as before, you get a native project in the other DAW, not an interchange file and not stems.
FL Studio
An .flp converts to any of the other four with the arrangement, MIDI, audio clips and markers. FL's stock mixer effects, master chain included, come out in Ableton and Logic as their own native devices with the settings carried over. Everything converts back into .flp too.
REAPER
Someone uploaded an .rpp before we supported it, so we added it. Tracks, items, markers, MIDI and tempo come over in both directions.
Pro Tools
.ptx sessions go to and from every other DAW. Track order stays the same, buses come back as buses with their routing, and stock plugins land as real AAX inserts when Pro Tools has a match. We opened the main conversions in Pro Tools itself to check them.
Plugins
Same rules as before. Third party plugins keep their settings. Stock plugins get mapped to the closest match, and if there isn't one the device still lands on the right track so you know what to swap in. More detail on the breakdown, or just try a conversion.
